One of the fun things about food photography is shopping for and finding cool photo props. Thrift stores, flea markets, import stores, these are all great places to shop for dishware to use in photos. You never know what you will find, and often you get something without knowing exactly how you will use it.
That was not the case with these gold rimmed glasses. The minute I saw these I knew I wanted to put a tall, cool, summer cocktail in them. I have always been partial to the metallic edged glassware, and I just love the bowed silhouette of these. So here's my first shoot with them. A nice, simple, vodka soda with squeezed orange. Looks frosty and refreshing, don't you think?
